Written for TV100 LJ community's challenge of Prompt Suggestions, using the words "a cat," "falling leaves," and "damp."

Rain falls gently while colorful falling leaves litter the damp earth. The frigid autumn air makes a lonely young woman shiver as she patrols around a cemetery.
She stares at a cat sitting on a fresh grave when she hears a rustling. She turns to see a figure emerge from the shadows.
"You're cold," he says.
"And you're late. I've been waiting."
"I know. I had things to do."
"Like what?"
He steps closer and takes her hand, placing it on his chest.
"You're alive," she smiles.
"I've missed you," he replies, caressing her cheek.
And she kisses him tenderly.
