Title: Isn't it Ironic
Rating: G
Genre: General
Summary: It's ironic that Yoh would say he doesn't have a twin brother. Takes place at the start of episode 3.
A/N: Short and pointless. I was watching episode 3 and when Yoh said, "I don't have a twin brother," I had to write something illustrating the irony in that line.

"Ne. Yoh-kun?"
"What is it?" Yoh asked while jabbing at the air.
"Last night I saw somebody like you," Manta said tiredly, waving his notebook in an attempt to cool himself.
"What? That can't be possible," he said while jabbing faster. "I don't have a twin brother."
"It's not a twin brother," Manta said irritably.
"Then a twin sister?" Yoh asked, continuing his activity.
"That's not it either," Manta replied, frowning with greater irritation. "I mean somebody who has the same atmosphere as you."
"Oh? Same atmosphere, eh?" the young shaman said, determined to defeat the invisible opponent.
Manta sighed. "This conversation is getting tiring…" After a moment he looked up. "Ne… What have you been doing?" he demanded.
"I'm fighting the HEAT!" Yoh declared as he stretched to his toes.
"Oh, I see," Manta said with a tired grin. "I thought you were doing Shaman training."
"Oh, since I've come here, I haven't done anything resembling training," Yoh laughed, resuming his task at jabbing at the heat.
"Are you sure it's okay to do that?" Manta demanded.
"Yeah. I think so," Yoh replied, laughing again.
Manta moaned in a mix of frustration and envy. "Even though it's so hot, you're really energetic. Since it is summer, I don't feel like doing anything."
"Running away from the heat makes you suffer," Yoh explained. "But if you stand up to it like this, you can live happily." With that he began laughing again.
"I don't understand it too well, but he sure does seem happy," Manta sighed, and then looked to his friend when he heard a thump. A moment later he yelped when he found Yoh laying flat on the ground. "Ah! What's wrong, Yoh-kun?! Yoh-kun!!"
Not far away, dark chocolate eyes saddened slightly. "So they didn't tell you about me?"
"Hao-sama shouldn't worry."
The shaman known as Hao looked back his young friend, Opachu. "Hmm? I am not worried, Opachu." He looked back. "I had rather hoped my parents would tell him about me, though. Perhaps then he would understand it is important to train."
The African boy nodded in agreement.
Hao stood up and watched with a frown as the blonde boy helped his twin. "Why would he waste his time with such a creature, though?" He shook his head with a sigh, and then turned and began walking. "Better a half-breed than a full human, I suppose."
Opachu walked next to his master, looking up with a smile. "Dragging him into shaman fights will give Yoh-sama a reason to be strong, Hao-sama."
Hao came to a stop and contemplated for a moment, and then smiled while closing his eyes. "Yes. Perhaps you are right." He looked back in the direction of his brother, and then smirked. "I will contradict you when you are stronger, Yoh."
