The next day, everyone was down in the danger room.
"Okay, this is your first danger room session and it is really hard! If you go up to Angelicka, I and Logan will show you the hardest!" Said Emma, who pointed up were Angelicka was
The session started and Emma really kicked the robots butts, if they had that will say.
"Emma is totally cool!" Said Tyson
"Emma, higher level!" Said Angelicka. "And we want Kai to be with this time! Logan, get out!"
"Are you nuts?! Kai is a beginner!" Shouted Emma
"We want to see something!" Said Angelicka. "You can go down, Kai!"
Kai went into the danger room.
"Be ready, okay!" Said Emma and started a fighting pose.
Kai also started a fighting pose and the session started. He used his telekinetic powers against the machines, but then he screamed in terror and lied down on the floor and started to struggle.
"Stop the session!" Ordered Emma and ran up to Kai.
Ray looked down in disgust. He knew that Kai had kissed Emma, but he also liked Emma. Angelicka ran down to the room and helped Kai to the med lab.
"Hank! Kai fainted and started to struggle!" Explained Emma
"I will help him! Don't worry!" Said Hank
Emma and Angelicka lied Kai down on the bed. Emma looked at him and remembered the kiss the night before. Emma and Angelicka went out from the room and Emma went to the living room and Angelicka to the cerebro room.
In the living room...
"The force is with you, Luke!" Said Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars on the TV
"The force is with everyone, Obi!" Said Emma
Then Ray came in.
"Hey, Emma! I heard that uhm well..."
"That Kai kissed me?" Asked Emma
"Well, yeah!" Said Ray
"The rumour goes on and on!" Said Emma. "Why? Are you jealous or something?"
"No, I'm not! I just kind of like you!" Said Ray
"You're admitting that you like me? That's sweet you know!" Said Emma
"Okay, but I guess you like Kai!" Said Ray
"I don't know who I like! I've had boyfriends, but only those who broke up with me because I have secrets!" Explained Emma
"And you don't want another guy in your life to do the same?" Guessed Ray
"Yeah, hey! You are the only one that even talks to me about that stuff! Not even Gambit, my best friend, talks about it!" Said Emma, who looked surprised at Ray. "Well, I have to go and look after Kai now! And don't be so jealous at me! I don't know if I love him or not!"
Emma went into the med lab.
"Has he woken up?" Asked Emma
"No, not yet! Will you help me?" Asked Hank
"Sure! What can I do?" Asked Emma
"Hold his hand and check his pulse!" Said Hank
Emma took up his hand and he had a normal pulse. Then Emma touched him a little and she absorbed him. Memories started to flash before her and she saw his parents getting killed and she could feel his feelings for her. Then she sat down on a chair and held her head in her hands.
"Emma, is something wrong?" Asked Hank
"I... I absorbed him!" Said Emma. 'But, now I understand his feelings! It says in the papers also in Russia that I'm a hero and I save people as much as make up that I have!'
"Emma, he is starting to wake up!" Said Hank
Kai woke up, but how did he wake up after she absorbed him?
"Are you alright?" Asked Emma
"Never better!" Said Kai, who looked at Emma. 'Do you understand me now?' He then said telepathically.
"Hank! He is the only one who can reach my mind!" Said Emma, getting away from him
"Kai, you don't know what you are doing! Going in to Emma's mind is a big mistake!" Warned Hank
"What? Why is that?" Asked Kai
"Emma's mind is a riddle, but Professor Xavier has been there and he fainted and almost died when he had been in her mind!" Explained Hank
"Is that true?" Asked Kai
"Yeah, I almost killed him, Kai! My mind has to be alone from any other mutants!" Said Emma
The Kai stood up and went up to Emma.
"Emma, I want to tell you something!" He said
"I already know! You love me!" Said Emma, then hugged him.
For once, she had found someone that she knew about. The voices in her head told her about him and also the flashes told her about his past.
"Kai, you have to rest!" Said Hank
"Emma!" Shouted Angelicka, who ran up to Emma
"What is it?" Asked Emma
"Max just asked me out!" Said Angelicka
"So, what does it bother?" Asked Emma
"Well, then Tyson came up to me and asked me out! I just got two dates TOMORROW!!" Said Angelicka
With Ray, outside...
'I don't know why I do actually care that Emma likes Kai.' Thought Ray
"My cat is stuck in the tree!" Screamed a little girl and she started to cry
Ray ran to her and then climbed up in the tree. The cat looked weird at him, as if it knew something about him.
"Come here, kitty!" He said and the cat walked towards him and he took it
"Thanks a lot, sir!" Said the girl, and took the cat and she ran home. "Mom, the boy over there helped my cat down!"
"Mom isn't home and shut up will you!" Said the older boy in the window
"Thank you so much, sir!" She shouted
"No worries!" Said Ray and waved to her. 'Sweet girl!'
"Well, well... What do we have here?" Asked a voice behind him
"And who are you?" Asked Ray
"I am Edward Kelly and I don't like mutants!" He said
"What do you mean?" Bluffed Ray
"You are a mutant!" He said and pointed at him
"Principal Kelly, what are you doing with my friend here?" Asked a black dressed Emma behind them
"I knew that you would know this mutant! You know all mutants around here!" Said 'principal' Kelly
"Mon amiz, don't start a fight with this gal! She is better then the most big guys!" Said a southern voice behind her
"Emma Lofgren and Remy LeBeau! What a surprise! Detention for not coming to school and telling friends to attack other humans!" Said Principal Kelly
"Ray didn't attack any humans! We know you, Kelly! Don't bluff everything! You just hate mutants, but you can't do anything about it, so leave!" Said Emma
And he left and went to the school building.
"And we don't even start school until Monday!" Said Emma. "Are you okay Ray?"
"Yeah, I'm fine! But why did he say that I was attacking other humans! I would never do that!" Said Ray
"We know, Ray! But, he's the principal and he doesn't like our kind so he makes fake rumours about us!" Explained Emma
"By the way, the name's Gambit, remember it!" Introduced the red on black eyed Cajun
"My name is Ray! I have cat powers!" Said Ray
"I can charge cards and anything else so they can explode!" Said Gambit
"His real name is Remy Lebeau! My code name is Follower!" Said Emma
"Is that why the clothes?" Asked Ray
"Yeah, and I follow people a lot so it's a good name! It suits me!" Said Emma
"Yeah, it does! And Gambit suits me!" Said Remy
"Rem, even Cajun in a trench coat suits you!" Said Emma
And they laughed and went home. Emma went to the med lab, were Kai was. She looked down at him. He opened his eyes and sat up and Emma sat down.
"So, do you love me?" Asked Kai
"I guess I do!" Said Emma
