Ch.1: The beginning

"Melchiah, run they're catching up." I screamed as I ran while holding a wound on my side. One of the creatures jumped out in the front of me. I shouldered him and as he fell I stabbed him in the chest with my free hand.

"Melchiah run!" I screamed again.

"Raziel, wait…"Melchiah said as he tripped and fell to the ground.

"Raziel help!" I heard him scream as I turned and ran to him.

"Get up." I said as the on rushing vampire reached us. We both stood and defended ourselves. We slashed at them and smashed them but more came. I heard Melchiah scream and as I turned to help I felt warmth on my back as well as a sharp pain. I turned to see a vampire holding a bloody sword, and as I lifted my arm to strike him down, I fell.

For what felt like centuries I felt nothing, was nothing. There was nothing, but a never ending blackness that drove me to insanity. Then there was a spot of light, blinding, burning light that I wanted to enter. I willed my self to enter and then… light, sound, air. I lived. I sat up and looked over my surroundings, there was a man standing beside me, beside my… casket. I remembered running, fighting, falling then nothing.

"Who are you" I asked looking at the, the vampire.

"I am your father, your resurrector… I am Kain" The man said as he turned and walked to a casket that read the name Turel.

My mind raced, for so long I had been nothing, yet now I lived. It was then I felt the hunger a deep hunger that was deeper than hunger. I had never felt this before and not only did I feel this I felt many new things, I could feel my body healing. Already my body was looking stronger, I tried to stand but I only fell back. I was still to weak, but soon I would be strong, I knew this but how I did not know. After some time the man came to a sixth and last casket and put his arms over the body inside and closed his eyes. A green mist began to flow into this body and like the other five the body rose. To my surprise it was Melchiah, the one who had died the same death as me. I knew this but I did not know how we had died.

"My sons gather." Kain said as six humans came in.

"I have brought you all back as my sons but you are not what you were, now you are all… vampire."Kain said ordering the humans to go to us. Each of us had one human standing in front of all of us.

"Now, sink your teeth into their necks and drink." Kain said to us all. I sank my fangs into my humans throat and with this, there was no turning back.
