CHAPTER 1
InuYasha's Nightmare
He was pressed down against the silky ebony sheets. One of her large white hands held his wrists down tight to the bed. Her long, sharp red nails dug deep into the delicate skin of his wrist, causing rivulets of blood to spring forth. He wriggled underneath her body, trying so desperately to escape her grasp. Showers of her long platinum hair poured over him. Tears were erupting from his small amber eyes as her blood red lips pressed against the pale skin of his naked chest. Her laugh rang out like bells on a spring wind and it brought stronger sobs from her young victim.
"InuYasha" she whispered in his ear, like she always did, in her breathy voice. He struggled but he couldn't stop the inevitable. Her body on his, wrapping around him, and the helplessness that flooded through him…She owned him.
Her scent was everywhere. It filled him and over took him. It was the scent of blood, tears, and fear. It clung to him. It was choking him alive. It was so strong so powerful, so… real.
And that thought alone brought InuYasha out of the horrible nightmare, and right out of the tree her had been sleeping in.
His heart pounded against his chest as he climbed to his feet. Shippou and Kagome were both laughing hysterically; they thought it was just so funny. Miroku looked at him with an amused smile, he was holding back his laugh, "Are you alright, InuYasha?" He said, and then burst out laughing.
"Shut-up, all of you." InuYasha spat. He set his face in a look of anger and stalked off.
"Come back!" Kagome called, "InuYasha we're sorry. It was just," She continued laughing. InuYasha didn't wait to hear the rest. He set out in a run. He ran out of the odd village they were staying at and into the dense forest.
When he was finally alone, he sat shakily down on a rock to catch his breath. "Just a nightmare." InuYasha reminded himself. "It's not real anymore. It will never be real again… I'm fine." His thoughts tried to comfort him, but his heart still thudded with fear. It had been so lifelike. More lifelike than usual, and more than ever before.
He shook his head in self-disgust. Even after all this time she still frightened him. Well why wouldn't she. She was… No, he didn't need to think about that now…
He rose to his feet and let his breathing steady. He was almost completely calm again when…
The sound of bells in the distance met his ears. His heart stopped beating. He didn't stop to think he just turned towards the village and ran, but a flash of light erupted out of nowhere. It shone until there was nothing to be seen but white.
