Lost for words
Disclaimer: Not mine; I'm just using the characters… Hehe… and does my writing style seem like it could be used to write a novel? I thinknot!
Warning: Slash! Female characters with other female characters.
A/N: Chapter 7 and 8 and 9 are up of CP (Consuming Passions). Just thought I'd tell you, just in case… Anyway, this is my first ever story/drabble/ficlet written in second person. I feel happy. Set in fifth year, to Hermione… maybe…? Doesn't really need a year, but if you want to know, I'm guessing about there.
Title: Lost for Words.
Pairing: Hermione/Ginny
Rating: PG
Word count: 200 (exactly)
You've been avoiding Ginny lately. Trying to get her out of your mind. Trying to stay on task. Only problem is you know it's impossible. You just know. You try, you really do, but it just doesn't work. Everything reminds you of her. The sun. The trees. Even Ron.
She cornered you one night in the common room. She asked you why you'd been ignoring her. When you didn't speak, she persisted. When you try to say you haven't, all that comes out are incoherent words. You, Hermione Granger, are lost for words. Then it clicks in her mind. She knows. Or at least, you think she does.
"Hermione, do you like me?" she spoke calmly, yet anxiously.
"Of course, you're my friend, I'd tell you anything." You watched and noted her reaction. Surprise. Surprise that you had managed to dodge the question.
"Then tell me this. Do you like me more than that of a friend?"
"Yes…" you spoke quietly as not to draw attention to yourself, though not many Gryffindors were around. "But Ginny, you're a girl."
"I know. So are you." She whispered, before bringing her lips down on yours. Your life and maybe hers too, changed.
End A/N: I couldn't think of a name for the title, so 'Lost for Words' will have to do. Also, I couldn't finish Consuming, cause of school and exams, but holidays are here, so expect an A/N later on that says, "Consuming Passions is finished! Let us all be merry and triumphant!" Or something like that. In other news, I started a band! Yay. Let's hope it's a good and successful one.
