"THE STEPFORD EX WIVES."
A parody, and semi-sequel, to "The Stepford Wives."
At the end of "The Stepford Wives" we see the plan coming undone, the wives returning to their old selves, thoroughly disgusted with their husbands for what they did to them. And that's where the movie ends. So what happened afterwards?
Well naturally the women of Stepford would be seeking divorces from their husbands- after all who could trust a man who had made you into what he saw as the perfect wife, a housekeeper, cook, cleaner, and his devoted servant? I certainly couldn't! But one enterprising man, by the name of Harold, wasn't going to just stand there and watch what he'd seen as his perfect life slip away. So he hired Dr. Kruger, a shady character, who had been disbarred from practicing medicine in America for his unethical experiments in mind control.
Dr. Kruger was more than happy to help, and when Harold brought up his new idea to the men of Stepford, who were all feeling the pressure of some of America's nastiest divorce lawyers breathing down their neck on the behalf of the furious women, the vote was unanimous.
The result? About fifty miles west of Stepford a new community, Stepfordsonia, was formed- a gated community with all the 50's charm of Stepford, although not on such a grand scale, with houses being more the average size. And in Stepfordsonia lived the ex-wives of Stepford; the women who had been granted their divorces. The women who, with the ingenious help of Dr. Kruger, all had a small microchip embedded deep in their brain which allowed their ex-husbands to program their thoughts, memories and even to some extent their moves. Unlike Stepford, however, not every woman in Stepfordsonia was the same as husbands ideas on how the women should act after the divorce varied greatly. Of course the women of Stepfordsonia had no idea that once again they had been tricked into acting the way their ex-husbands desired.
And the men of Stepford? Well not content with their ex-wives they all married again and created a new breed of Stepford woman, the Stepford Wife Mark Two, who was similar to their first wives, but greatly improved in certain areas.
Thus I will begin the story of these ex-wives, "The Ex- Stepford Wives."
