Jack's New Year's Resolution was to stop encouraging Fi and her little fantasies. He'd been serious about it too. All it did was make mom upset and Fi more convinced that her little theories were real.
It didn't matter, none of it was real. Magic didn't exist and all the strange and bizarre things that kept happening could all be explained away. Fi had to grow up sometime.
He'd been determined, but not even 45 minutes after 2004, he found himself frantically tracking Fi, as she was on yet another wild goose chase.
Maybe next year he'll try an easier resolution
