A/N - Ok, so this might not be a very good story.. The plot line is a little bit vague, even to me.. I suppose it's supposed to be an inverted version of The Chamber of Secrets, but I'm not too sure.... Please note that I do not own any of J.K. Rowling's brilliant characters. I own only thw ones created in my own little head. I do enjoy messing with the freedom I have as a fan-fic writer, though ;)

Chapter One: Mudbloods

"This is so unfair!" She rolled over in bed, away from her mother, who was standing beside the bed.

"Jezzi . . . come on," her mother pleaded. "It's only for a few weeks."

Jezzi sat up and glared at her mother. This was absolutely the very worst thing she had been subjected to. Visiting muggles, that was fine, as long as she didn't have to talk. Occasional trips to muggle-London — that was almost fun. Muggle clothing was neat. But this? This was unbearable.

"You're sending me to live with Mudbloods," she spat the word. "Until Hogwarts? I have to spend three weeks with garbage like them?"

Outside of the bedroom, Candas Finch-Fletchly grimaced. It was true that she and her husband were regular muggles, and that her son Justin (who was going into his seventh and final year at Hogwarts) was a muggle-born wizard. But Candas had forgotten the amount of scorn mudbloods and muggles had to deal with from the pure-blooded population.

Jezzi was as pure as pure could be. Her mother, Lara, was Lucius Malfoy's younger sister, therefore very pure. Her father, Jarod Hawkes, was the sole heir of an obscure — but pure! — branch of the Black line. Though Lara was not as stuck-up as most pure-bloods, she had little influence over her daughter, who (under her father's teachings) learned that purity of blood wasw the most important thing in the world.

Lara and Jarod Hawkes had been happily married for some 15 years, and had been looking to go on a second honeymoon for a few months. Though Jarod would have preferred to send Jezzi to his bother-in-law's, Lucius Malfoy refused point-blank to take her in.

"I don't have time to babysit children, Hawkes," he had said. "I can barely control my own two children, let alone your girl as well."

As it transpred, however, Lucius and Narcissa were also away during the last three weeks of summer, doing dastardly acts for the Dark Lord, no doubt. They were leaving their eldest, a seventeen-year-old boy named Draco, to care for his eleven-year-old sister, Selena.

So the only other option, no matter how unpleasant it may be, was for Jezzi to be sent to the Finch-Fletchly's. There was only one problem:

Jezzi did not want to go.

A/N - Short, I know, but I thought it might be good to give some background information and stuff. I'll try and make the next one longer.
