I do not own any of the characters in this story, nor do I own the song "Running Bear" This is my first attempt at a song fic, so I hope it goes ok.
On the banks of the river stood Runnin' Bear,
young Indian
brave
On the other side of the river
stood his lovely
Indian maid
Little White Dove was-a her name,
such a lovely
sight to see
But their tribes fought with each other
so their
love could never be.
Draco Malfoy stood on one side of the raging river,
Hermione
Granger on the other,
They were lovers and had been together since
their sixth year at Hogwarts
But there was an obstacle in their
way, Hermione was loyal to Harry Potter and Dumbledore, while Draco
was Loyal to the Dark Lord.

No matter what happened between them,
no matter how many people
tried to break them up
they would always love each other

each other to death and beyond.
He couldn't swim the raging river
'cause the river was too

He couldn't reach Little White Dove,

In the moonlight he could see her
blowing kisses
'cross the waves
Her little heart was beating faster,
waiting
there for her brave.
He would do anything to get to Hermione they haven't been intimate in a long time,
it was becoming too risky sneaking around so much, there was so much
at stake.
He would give anything to hold her again, but the river
was just to wide to swim.
It was a full moon that night, and
Hermione's hair was shining in the light,
Draco could see her
waving at him and blowing him kisses, he could almost see the desire
in her eyes.

Everyone tried to break them up,
but no one was successful,
the
night before their graduation they made their love official,
sneaking
into Hogsmeade, and going to the small church,
they were married
that night and the tattoos on their inner right ankle reflected their
undying love.
Runnin' Bear dove in the water,
Little White Dove did
the same
And they swam out to each other
through the swirling
stream they came
As their hands touched and their lips met,
the
ragin' river pulled them down
Now they'll always be together
in
that happy hunting ground.
Not thinking Draco gracefully dove into the raging river,
Hermione
mirrored his actions with a graceful dive of her own,
they
struggled to swim through the rapidly flowing water
their hands
outstretched and their fingers intertwined,
their lips met and
they shared a salty kiss as the raging water
pulled them down, now
they'll always be together
in that happy hunting ground.

The next
day their bodies were found by both sides,
washed up on the
battlefield, their fingers still intertwined.
The tattoos on their
ankles showing the words
"Amore Eterno di Hermione e di
Draco."
Both sides grieved the loss of their young shining stars.
