"Emergency Love."
The shift was just ending and Nikki and Penny were cleaning the ambulance. Nikki had invited Penny back to her flat. Nikki was cleaning the floor and Penny was waiting for her. Nikki took Penny back to her flat shortly after they'd finished cleaning the ambulance. Penny had been invited to sleep over. Nikki let them both in and the two sat chatting for a short time. After a while Nikki fell silent and Penny noticed a tiny tear glinting in Nikki's eye.
"What's wrong?" Penny asked kindly, wrapping her arm 'round Nikki.
"N...Nothing." Nikki muttered, wiping it away.
"No, Nikki." Penny said determindly. "Tell me... be honest."
"No,Penny.. you wouldn't..."
"unterstand." Penny smirked. "Try me..Please Nikki.. I love you."
Nikki glanced at Penny. "Truely..but,surely only as a friend?"
"No...more as, well, a lover." Penny said honestly.
"I feel the same..." Nikki admitted.
"Is that what was wrong?" Penny asked gently.
"Yes." Nikki said blushing.
Penny giggled and held Nikki tighter, giving her a gentle kiss on her hair.
"you daft girl." Penny smiled and Nikki turned and grinned at her.
"I know." Nikki said, turning to Penny and kissing her gently on lips.
Penny let Nikki lead her into the bedroom and the door clicked shut.
All that was heard was giggles and a soft kissing sound.
