DisclaimerI do not own Elrond, but I do own this poem, kind of. Like everything else I post, it is inspired and based on someone else's work. In this case, the man who inspired this poem is none other than professor J.R.R. Tolkien himself.

Lost to the Earth and Sea

Not long ago you lay in my arms

trusting me with every breath

we were together

it should have been forever,

But sometimes the best things do not last.

We came close together

and then far apart,

but you will always be here

within my heart

You, my dear daughter, know so much of love,

and Luthien's fate has sentenced you

And so we go or separate ways

far apart we'll be

lost from the sight of each other

lost to earth and sea

I can't hold you anymore.

we're lost to earth and sea

I'll never see your face again

but you're always here with me

and I know that for your it is for your love

that we are now apart

I love you well and you love me

This is forever true.

You're always in my heart.

But now we go our separate ways

far apart we'll be

lost from one another

lost to earth and sea

lost from one another

far apart we'll be

and now we go our separate ways

'Till pass the earth and sea.
