First day of Winter Break
A group of kids stood outside a school walking through the freshly fallen snow after school. They wondered off towards the city. Kyra, a tan brunette with dark eyes and pleasant facial features, walked along beside Kisara, a fair skinned sliver-haired girl with deep blue eyes. Her two other brothers were in the back. Ryo, an albino with knack of solving puzzles and riddles, walked slowly with a hand in his pocket and his side sack slung over his shoulder talking to his year-older-brother, Veron, a tan brunette with the intelligence level of a college student. Veron looked up from the ground when Kyra and Kisara burst into laughter. "What are you laughing about?" he asked folding his arms behind his head. "Oh…nothing." Kyra closed an eye and waved her hand. "Uh-huh…sure." Ryo said with a smirk. Kraili appeared beside Kyra in a semi-transparent form. "Hikari, where are we going?" she asked. "Our house." Kisara said stretching. The form of a bird flew overhead blocking out the sun momentarily. Everyone glanced up and saw a large black as pitch bird flying above them. "Oh…that's nice to see on your first day of Winter break." Ryo shivered. "Isn't that Black Moon, Veron?" Kraili asked. "Mm…no." Veron answered. Kyra began to figit with her pendent as the bird circled over and over. There was a loud honk from behind and a black sports car slowed down next to the group of walkers. The driver rolled down the window. "Need a ride?" he asked. "Draik…you show-off." Kyra murmured. Kisara nodded in agreement and in an answer. "Well?" Draik asked. Draik was an enthusiastic 19-year-old blonde in a show-offy sports car with a glint of mischief in his eye. "Yes!" Veron exclaimed walking along side of the car.
At the house, a blue enchinda like creature with wings. He and another enchinda were fighting while a woman about 18 sat on the railing in the first level of the three-story house. Her name was Sasuska, the protector and guardian of the Falkner family and their fortune. Her blonde hair was tied back in a tight braid that fell to her waist with bangs that framed her face and eyes. She had blue eyes with a silver-flex that were set on her high cheekbones. Next to her was a black hedgehog with red striped quills and at her other side was a blue hedgehog. Their names were known by half the world as Shadow and Sonic the hedgehogs. Shadow being the Project Shadow from Space Colony ARK and the ultimate life as well as the controller of the Seven Chaos Emeralds, he was extremely powerful. And Sonic, being a world known hero and a super fast speed demon, he was equally matched with Shadow in speed and wit. But when it comes to seriousness, Shadow wins that one. Draik and the rest of the crew through open the front door and walked in joining everyone else. "Some storm kicked up…traffic was horrid!' Draik exclaimed as he walked in brushing excess snow off his jacket.
