Kuwabara watched as the dice rolled across the game's surface. They finally came to rest on a two and a two, totaling to four. Just as with Yusuke's piece, Kuwabara's white rhino moved four spaces down its path. When it stopped, words formed once again in the black Jumanji center piece.

Kuwabara hesitantly read them, afraid of what new danger they might bring.

"At night they fly, you better run. These winged things are not much fun."

"Does it mean bats?" Yusuke asked.

As if in answer, there was a loud SMACK that made everyone, even Hiei, jump. They all turned to the window to see that a large bat had flown into it and was still repeatedly bumping into it, trying to get in.

"Shit!" Kuwabara cried, clutching his chest and breathing hard. "That scared the crap out of me!"

Kurama calmly crossed the room and closed the curtains, blocking the bat from their view, although the bumps as it continued to try to get in still sounded through the silence.

"Okay, I officially don't like this game any more. Someone else go," Kuwabara said.

"Wait, Kuwabara. You rolled doubles, so you get another turn," Keiko pointed out.

"Shit," Kuwabara swore as he hesitantly reached for the dice.

"What's wrong? Scared?" Hiei teased.

"Shut up shorty!" Kuwabara spat, throwing the dice at him. Hiei calmly stepped out of the way and the dice bounced off the wall and rolled to a stop on the floor. They stopped on a one and a three, giving Kuwabara another four.

Once again, the white rhino piece moved four spaces all on it's own. They all leaned over the board to see what it would say this time.

"This will not be an easy mission; monkeys slow the expedition," Kurama read out loud. "Monkeys?" he added in a worried voice.

His fears were justified when they heard a loud crash come from somewhere downstairs. Kurama slowly crossed the room and opened the door, ants still covered the floor outside his room and many marched in as he left the door ajar, but he didn't care. There were monkeys in his house and he had a feeling they could do a lot more damage than ants could.

Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Hiei followed him while Keiko stayed behind, closing the door behind them to keep out the ants. They slowly descended the stairs. As they reached the ground floor there was another crash. Now they could tell it was coming from the kitchen.

They all quietly crept towards the kitchen. Kurama poked his head throughout the doorway only to pull back quickly as a plate went whizzing by his head and smashed against the wall behind him. They all stared at the broken plate for a second, then tried for another look.

There were six monkeys in the kitchen. One was hurling plates every which way while another was hanging on the open refrigerator door, eating everything in sight. Yet another had gotten a hold of the egg-beaters and was shaking like a construction worker operating a jack-hammer while a fourth monkey was equally interested in the blender, turning it on full blast, dropping things in, and then clapping as they were flung up towards the ceiling. A fifth monkey was busy ripping all the boxes in the cupboards apart while the final monkey had gotten a hold of the silverware and was throwing it all around the room. The group had to pull their heads back again as a carving knife flew through the air and stuck, quivering in the wall behind them.

Kurama heaved a heavy sigh and motioned for them all to return to his room. They did so, watching wear they steeped so they wouldn't get too much ant-guts on their feet.

When they got back to the room, Kurama collapsed with another sigh into his desk chair.

"Don't worry. Once we finish the game it will all be like it never happened," Yusuke said, trying to cheer him up.

"I'm sorry. Just my luck to get the monkeys," Kuwabara grumbled, feeling horrible for causing Kurama so much trouble.

"It's not your fault, you didn't know this would happen," Kurama said.

"Indeed. You can't blame yourself for a surprise family reunion," Hiei scoffed.

"Why you!" Kuwabara yelled, lunging at Hiei.

Yusuke got between them and held a thrashing Kuwabara back. Hiei only smirked calmly.

"Who's turn is it?" Keiko asked, trying to keep the game going so they could finish faster.

"Mine, I suppose," Kurama said, retrieving the dice from the floor. He let them drop to the game board and watched as they landed on a three and a two, totaling to five. His white elephant piece moved five spaces and words appeared on the board once again.

"Enormous and yellow these flowers grew; Their flesh-eating blossoms are hungry for you!" he read aloud, his eyes growing wide in realization.

"Get away from the walls!" he ordered, and Hiei immediately stepped away from his stop leaning up against the wall.

They all gathered back-to-back in the center of the room as long, green vines began to break through the walls. They snaked along the floor, Kurama's bed, his desk, the ceiling, the walls, everything.

"Don't panic. Just stay away from the big, yellow pods," Kurama said calmly, rose whip ready in hand.

"What big yellow pods?" Yusuke asked.

As they were talking, they didn't notice the vine that had snaked around Keiko's foot. She let out as a scream as it pulled her leg out from under her. The vine came from under the bed and it was pulling Keiko under as well at an alarming rate. At her scream, the other's whipped around. Yusuke and Kuwabara grabbed one of her arms as Kurama took hold of the other. As they pulled, trying to free her form the plant's grasp, a large yellow blossom shot out form under Kurama's bed. It opened it's long pedals like a mouth. The vine around Keiko's leg was attached right in the middle.

"Let me guess, that big yellow pod, right?!" Yusuke yelled over at Kurama as he continued to try to free Keiko from the killer plant.

Hiei, who had been standing a little behind Kurama watching all of this, now calmly walked up, unsheathed his katana, and sliced threw the plant's vine. It made a loud whimpering sound, closed up, and retreated back to the darkness under Kurama's bed.

"Why didn't you do that first?!" Yusuke yelled at Hiei.

"I wanted to see if the oaf would think of it before she was eaten," Hiei replied coldly.

Yusuke was about to yell something back when the oaf in question cut him off.

"Not to interrupt but don't you guys think we should finish the game in another room. I mean, there is a man-eating plant under the bed," Kuwabara said.

Yusuke stared for a moment, angry at Kuwabara for interrupting the fight when he had thought of a really good comeback, which he couldn't remember now. "Fine!" he said finally, helping Keiko up off the floor. She was shaking, but otherwise okay. Kuwabara retrieved the game and Kurama led them to a spare room so they could continue the game, praying his mother wouldn't return before they had ended it and fixed this mess.
