An Inu-Yasha poem by Night Hunter MGS

Fairy Tale Hero

Eyes of purest, golden amber,

Searching always for a fray.

While acute, sniffing nostrils,

Help him seek out his prey.

Hiding within his snowy mane,

A dog's ears perk at a sound.

His senses are forever watchful,

For there's danger all around.

Longed for battle found,

He grinds his fanged jaws.

He smirks rather cruelly,

As his foes taste his claws.

But he does not join in battle,

For love of the fight alone.

He is the sworn guardian,

Of she who seeks a stone.

(dedicated to the character of Inu-Yasha, created by Takahashi Rumiko)
