I watch them together. I always have. I saw the moment that they first became friends and then later I watched them become so much more. They love each other with such a fierce passion, one unlike any I have ever seen before.
And yet they are feared and hated. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met, so gentle, loving and forgiving. How can people fear him? How can they even think that he is less than human? How could he ever be a monster? He wouldn't harm anyone.
And the other. He is loyal and just. How could they believe that he would ever betray anyone? How could they think he was even capable of murder? They judge him upon his family. A family he turned his back on years ago.
They are despised for their love. Wrong. Unnatural. Such crap. What do they know anyways? Their love is so pure and right that it has the potential to make me weep.
And now one of them is lost to the other. And he will scream his rage to the sky every month that he lives. And they will not comfort him. Everyone that would have done once is now dead. Taken because of a battle they want no part in.
I wish I could help them. But I cannot, for all I can do is watch. I have always watched them. And I always shall.
