Christmas Gift

By MelodyRasnake

Duo stood in line to buy his last minute gifts. Standing in front of him was a little boy about 8 years in age. He was pacing around like little boys do and in his hands he healed a pair of shoes,

When it came the boys turn to pay, Duo will never forget what he heard him say.

"Sir, I want to buy these shoe for my mama, please. Its Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size. Can you hurry Sir? Daddy says there's not much time cause she's been sick for quit some time. And I know these shoes will make her smile. I want mama to look beautiful if mama meets Jesus tonight."

They counted pennies for what seemed like years.

"Son, there's not enough here." The casher said.

The little boy searches his pockets franticly then he turned to Duo with a pleating look on his face.

"Mama made Christmas good at our house and most years she just did with out. Tell me sir what am I going to do. Somehow I have to buy her these Christmas shoes."

Duo reached in to his pocket and pulled out $40.00 and handed it over to the casher and smiled at the little boy.

"The shoes are on me." Duo will never forget when the boy smiled back at him.

"Mama is gona look great."

Duo smiled as he watch the little boy thank him and run out. He know God had sent him that little boy to remind him what Christmas was all about.
