Chapter One: Burning
Burning, burning everything is burning. Everywhere I look everything is burning. Mayhaps I should tell you where I am and how I got here, and who I am. Well, as for where I am, I think that I am in the place of the lakes of fire, the south, or as Little Nicky would put it, the DEEP SOUTH. As for how I got here, I have absolutely no clue, but I'll tell you what happened before I got here; One moment I was walking down the sidewalk, with my nose in a book as usual, when I guess I got hit by a car; And voila I'm here. And as for who I am, I don't know the name that my real parents gave me, but I do remember the last names that my friends and foster family gave me: Fukayna- whichs means Intelligent, and my nickname Kimi- she who is without equal. But I guess all that was an illusion because the burning has stopped and the flames vanished. I am now standing in front of two huge, and I mean HUGE, doors and ogres running all around. Soon the doors open and a voice beckons me in, and although I know curiosity killed the cat, I entered.
"Well, well, well, It seems someone has followed Yusuke's example and died before they were suppose to," the toddler-like thing behind the desk said, "Who's Yusuke, who are you, and where the Frik am I?" I asked both confusion and unrest settling in, "You are in Spirit World, the place where souls go when their body dies; I am Koenma, Prince of Spirit World; and Yusuke is a Detective in my service who does everything I say to becaus-" just as Koenma was explaining a boy, with slicked back black hair and who was slightly shorter than me, burst into the room. "JUST WHO DO YOU THINK YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT KOENMA?!?!" he shouted, quickly being followed by a boy taller than him and with red hair that could rival Ryo from Shaman King, a boy that was a little taller than half my height that had what I'm guessing as either very gravity-defying hair or he just used A LOT of hair gel, and a god no I'm just kidding but he was close to one he had long crimson hair and was about the boy who shouted height and he had the most gorgeous emerald eyes. "Nothing Yusuke, I'm just talking about the wonderful things you have done for Spirit World," "Too bad I heard everything you said," said the boy who I now know is Yusuke, "Who is this girl anyways, oh Lord Koenma-Sir," Yusuke said sarcastically. "Well, Yusuke, this is going to be your new teammate." replied Koenma receiving surprised looks from everyone including me and the ogres.
