Introduction
Its Tuesday, May 3rd, Aboveground anyway
Most people just make deals with the devil. I, instead, made a deal with an egotistical, over-bearing, golden-haired brute who owns a labyrinth. I will tell you now, I am not Sarah Williams nor am I related to her. My name, at this time, has no importance; just know that when they call "Girl" or "dancer" that is me.
Now before I must rush off, let me tell you how I came to live under my current circumstances. One night, as I animatedly told my nephew a new tale, I also accidentally wished him away (Okay, I admit. I have the tendency to get carried away with a good story). Before that moment, I had never even believed in the Labyrinth, but let me tell you from that point on all the fairy tales I'd ever heard suddenly became very real. I was only allowed seven and a half hours to save my nephew, four of which I lost because I was headstrong and unable to keep my temper in check. The rest I spent in the maze, getting lost, and at one point trapped for a half an hour when all four walls moved in around me.
When I lost, I couldn't bear to let my nephew become a goblin. So I struck a bargain, a lifetime, which I later found out, could be VERY long time in the Underground, of service, if the Goblin King returned my nephew home with a note from "me" explaining my departure.
As I could not cook, (I think the other goblins thought I might poison their precious King as well) I became a maid. About a month later, my talent for dancing and singing was discovered. Since singing seemed to make the King even more depressed, I danced. My duties for the day was to make beds, clean up breakfast, laundry, clean up lunch, clean up messes made by the goblins (you don't even want to know how long that can take), clean up dinner, and then dance. A long day, I admit, but that is the duties of a maid. Any extra time, which was few and far between, to be had, was my own; during these brief periods, I often visited the garden or the stables. I was both personal entertainment for the King (though I often found myself wondering if he even paid attention) and public entertainment for his parties (which are quite infrequent).
And that would get you to where I am now, I've just finished washing dishes, exhausted, and waiting to be called to dance for the King's banquet.
