Chapter 2
"Who is Jareth?" Toby asked. Malya looked at her husband's adorably confused look. She sighed.
"He's the King of the Goblins. His kingodom is known as the Labyrinth in the Fae world known as the Underground." Toby gaped at her.
"Who? Wait, do you mean the guy from that rediculus play Sarah was so enamoured with?"
"Yes. And it's not a play, it's real. You were wished there at one year by your sister. She defeated the Labyrinth and she brought you back."
"How do you know this?" Toby asked. Malya flushed.
"I was also wished away. My older brother was jealous of the attention I got from our father so he wished me away. He attempted the Labyrinth…and failed. And I…became a goblin."
"What?" Toby asked. Malya looked him directly in the eye.
"Any Aboveground child that is not claimed will automatically become a goblin after fourteen hours. I quickly became Jareth's favorite goblin. He looked in on you from time to time with his crystal balls. He wanted to make sure that you were okay. I fell in love with you when I'd watch with him. I begged for him to turn me back into human so I could meet you. He granted my wish and he promised that whatever happened, he'd leave us alone."
"I was wished away?" Toby asked. Malya lowered her head.
"Yes. Sarah was frustrated with you and she wished you away. She beat the unbeatable Labyrinth. She got you back and she rejected Jareth."
"And now our little girl is going to be with him? As his queen?" Toby asked.
"Yes-" Malya was cut off by the entrance of the adult Sarah.
"Sarah's gone."
