AUTHORS NOTE: this poem may be complex to some of you, in its meaning. Asking yourself and others if this poem really links with 'The Lord Of The Rings'. But Alas, it truly does, if you think about it…here is a quide, so that you may understand what the poem truly signifies.
"Light whispers of wind caress your face, two lovers entwined in a protective embrace"
The meaning is clear, two lovers hold each other in a protective embrace...In 'The Lord Of The Rings' Aragorn and Arwen are passionate lovers, and Aragorn feels compelled to let Arwen travel into the west, so that she may be 'safe' and happy, and so she may find life in Valinor. Aragorn also needs to defeat Sauron and have the ring destroyed or Arwen fades.
"Leaves scatter across the ground, hunter prays without sound"
This stanza is describing the silence of a Warg / Urah-kai when hunting.
"Water billows around the sand, a scared child grasps a helping hand"
This stanza describes the heartache and pain the children went through, during the war, when their families were sent to a war that was sure to kill them. 'Grasping a helping hand' to give them strength...like Eowyn, when she helped those many people to Helms Deep. Or when the people of Rohan, excepted the two children Freda and Eowthain inside Edoras, after their village was attacked by wild men of Saruman.
"Tears gather around the eye, a loved one watch's another die"
This stanza is not about Sauron, this stanza describes the way the unprepared people young, old are forced to fight in the war, and how they must keep fighting to stay alive, even when their kin die around them.
"Sky darkens in unison with the setting sun, as the moons presence is shown with the darkend world"
This stanza is not particulary about anything. It just explains the ending of the war, and the way the moons presence, bright and guiding, shines among them in the darkened world among them and within, showing them that the world goes on, with or without their acceptance.
