Disclaimer: Don't own Stargate Atlantis

Note: "When I think about the scenarios I could have thought up, I'd kick! myself." What if John did think up a slightly different scenario?

Spoiler: Home.

John and Teyla entered his house.

"Oh yeah! Just like I left it!"

Teyla looked around impressed

"So much space for just one person."

John moved into the kitchen and down to the fridge and Teyla continued to move deeper into the house

"Well, a guy's gotta have a lotta space…bet there's still a ... Perfect!

John reached into the fridge and took out two bottles of beer and then shut the door before taking the bottles over to a worktop and removing their caps. He hands one bottle to Teyla.

"Nice and cold."

"And this is ...?"

"It's called beer."

John flicked one of the bottle caps across the room as Teyla took a small drink. She then realised she liked it and took a much longer drink. The two of them moved further into the house. Teyla looked impressed with assortment of model planes etc.

"Is all this for recreation?"

"Yeah – I got pretty much everything you could imagine, don't I?"

John looked down for a moment in a thoughtful gaze

"What is it?"

"I was just thinkin' again – about Doctor Weir and everyone else on Atlantis."

Teyla, looking a little jealous, answered

"Of course. I am sure she is fine – as I am sure they are all fine".

Teyla has moved over to a window and John follows her.

"Yeah, I'm sure."

Teyla took another long drink of her beer as John looked round his house. It was everything he wanted but something was missing. Just as he was thinking, there was a knock at the door. He turned to Teyla.

"I wonder who that could be."

John moved over to the door and was met by a smile from his favourite doctor.

"Dr Weir…Come in,"

John moved to the side and allowed Elizabeth to enter. Teyla moved from the window.

"Dr Weir, I thought you remained on Atlantis?"

John had moved over to the fridge and took out another beer, which he handed to Elizabeth.

"Thanks…yeah I was meant stay but when we made a scheduled contact General Hammond requested I come in person."

Elizabeth took another sip of her beer as the was another knock on the door.

"Wonder who that could be."

John moved over to the door and saw Aiden Ford.

"Ford come in…all we need now is McKay and we've got a party."

Just as he said it…

"Do you mind not closing the door on me, please."

John smirked looking pretty happy with himself.

"Ford, McKay. I got an idea. I need to get the low-down on Hammond said to Dr Weir and that may take a while so…why don't you two take Teyla and show her around Earth and we'll met at O'Malley's in a couple of hours."

The three of them didn't really have a choice as John was practically pushing them out the door.

"Have fun kids."

John shut the door.

"Maj…"

John held up a hand as if to silence her.

"Silence is truly golden."

Liz nodded.

"So…what exactly do you want to know?"

"'Bout what?"

"About what General Hammond said."

John guided her to the sofa and both sat down.

"That was just for their benefit. I just wanted rid of them"

Liz smirked

"Why?"

John leaned in

"So I could do this."

John leaned in and kissed her. Liz held no resistance and kissed him back.

John gently lowered Liz onto the sofa and began to kiss her neck.

"I love you, John."

John stopped and sat up.

"What is it?"

John shook his head.

"This isn't real and it isn't right."

"Of course. I am sure she is fine – as I am sure they are all fine".

John looked over at Teyla. Liz was gone and he'd manipulated the scene back to the beginning obviously wiping Teyla's memory clean in the process.

"Yeah, I'm sure."

Fin…

I was watching 'Home' on Tuesday and this just came to mind. It totally crap and completely off the wall, I know. You don't have to tell me.
