So I'm trying my hand at a different genre, I hope the humor isn't too dry 00

Lesson 1: Never Touch a Strange Pen
If it weren't for your maturity, none of this would have happened
If you weren't so wise beyond your years, I would've been able to control myself.
-Hands Clean, Alanis Morissette
Amon woke to the sun shining brightly into the room he lay in. He knew he had no choice but to rise from his resting place, but he would have frankly given anything to be able to stay there.
Lately, everything seemed to have been spinning apart and work seemed like a chore rather than a duty. He dragged himself through every day, struggling with the simplest tasks. As every day passed, he lost more and more of what he had so firmly kept throughout his later life.
A cold barrier and icy face. Unemotional words. And he knew perfectly well why.
He ripped the sheets from his bed in a frustrating rush of hands. Heading towards the kitchen of his apartment for a quick meal, he angrily punished himself for being affected by such a thing. How could someone so young and innocent be capable of things no other person had been? So many had tried to reach into his soul, yet she simply melted him without an ounce of effort.
Amon wolfed down a small breakfast, cleaned himself up and changed into his somber clothes. Sliding into his car, he hardened his gaze as best he could as he drove to headquarters. It was going to be a long day, longer than usual.
"I swear I need a break so bad. There hasn't been a hunt in ages and it's totally freezing in here." Sakaki spoke aloud, more to himself than to anyone. The cold of December was eating away at everyone, and was putting them all on edge.
Michael stopped typing for a moment. Although he didn't say it, he would have gratefully accepted any type of vacation. A computer could only provide so much entertainment, and having to stay in the same room for such a long time was beginning to drive him insane. At this point, one would do anything for a little bit of fun.
"D'you think he'll notice?" Michael asked.
"Who knows? But it'd sure be funny if he didn't." Sakaki replied.
Minutes passed. Michael found himself on certain websites. Sakaki found himself leaning over his shoulder. They both found themselves looking at things they shouldn't have been looking at. Amon, on the other hand, didn't find himself noticing the giant heart-shaped doily dangling from the back of his trench coat. Temperature can have that affect on people.
Robin came strutting into the room carrying a pot of coffee. The enraptured duo didn't seem to notice her approaching from behind.
"So, what are you two doing?"
…and as Michael turned around revealing part of the screen…
"Hmph!"
"What?" they both asked innocently.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH MY EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYES!!!!!!!!
"Uh......um….do you guys want some…um… coffee?" she asked, frozen to the spot, trying to cover up what she had seen with the dangling pot.
"No thanks."
"I'll pass."
…followed by an exchanged nervous glance between the two and…
"MAAAAAAAH!!"
"Amon??" Robin turned on her heel, only to notice Amon holding a pen in mid air, eye twitching as he gazed at it. Lesson 1: Never touch a strange pen, especially if it seems to have been bought at the dollar store.
Amon looked up, only to see the three of them staring at him, one with confusion, two with contained laughter. He cleared his throat threateningly and walked towards them, doily swinging around wildly behind him. It sure didn't help the situation.
Ok, so it ended strangely. I hope it got a smile or two. Sorry about the lack of horizontal lines to separate the scenes, something'swrong with my computer. Please let me know how it was!
