It was the tenth morning of the seven month of our union. Sunlight filtered in through our window, trickling down the windowsill and up to the edge of the bed. I run my hand through your dark tresses and sigh. What tenderness comes to my soul when I think of how you came into my life. You stir; arms and legs stretching like that of a familiar tabby cat, who now occupies a corner of the quilt. Eyes open, and I have fallen again. A sudden calm enters the room and time stands still. The memories rush in, unbidden, of our early years. The fights, the precious moments alone at dusk…the eve of battle. Those things stirred my passion for you, darling. We discussed trivial nonsense and deep philosophy all within our hearts. It was not long after those moments ended that our journey ended. Sweetness enraptured my soul then…for now I am free to pursue my future with you, this heaven on earth.
