The man was in a white jacket sitting down on a black, steel chair, which he was rocking back and forward on. There were men and women monitoring him behind a large screen, which looked like a huge mirror from where the man was sitting. The men and women were looking intently on his hands, well how could you call them hands as in the place of them were hooks. Yes readers you have probably guessed it was no ordinary man sitting in the chair in the mental asylum, no it was the hook handed man who earlier in this dreadful tale helped the Baudelaires out Count Olaf's dreadful submarine but subsequently went back to stay in his retched troupe. A tall man in a long white coat walked in the room, he was carrying a small briefcase, which contained various papers about the hook handed man.
''So Mr Widdershins hmmmm that was a nasty splash you had there now wasn't it, how do u feel. Ermm tell us about how it happened as we say you need to open the wounds before you can heal them.''
''Well…sir…see I worked for this man…. mister Count Olaf. See he had…this.troupe and I was in…in …it. See he gave me these hooks as a reward for joining. I really…respected him and liked him…. until he captured…captured…my sister and…her friends who he had been after all along. I helped…. them…get away…. from his…submarine…but then I…went back in the troupe and…he tortured me, knocked me unconscious and left me in the water. I……….would of died if that giant fishing net didn't catch me in time. But………just before I left this submarine they started talking about…a plan to capture…these children. ..the Baudelaires…….they strapped this woman up someone called…..called………Snicket….that was it Kit Snicket and they dressed Olaf's girlfriend in her clothes and they said…….that,,,,,she was,,,,,,,,,going to…….capture……the kids at last………….''
