ON BLACK WINGS
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today, for the passing of Hermione Granger. Miss Granger was a wonderful person, so full of life. Yet, we knew not her troubles. And for this reason, she took her own life."
Everyone was huddled close to the small grave. Family and the small handful of friends were there as well as her professors. But still, not many.
"What a lonely life people live." A girl whispered from 50 feet away, leaning against a statue of an angel.
Two snakes encircled her. One around her neck, the other around her right arm.
"We all live lonely livessss." One of the snakes hissed.
The girl smirked and answered, "Isn't that true. But that body had no soul in it. She was already dead when that truck hit her."
"You would knowssss." The other snake hissed.
Severus Snape turned upon hearing the hissing of snakes. A sound he was becoming quiet familiar with.
He looked at the girl some 50 feet away. Her hair was short and spiked, black and red, and her eyes were dark as sin, just like his.
He narrowed his eyes at her.
Something didn't seem quiet right about this girl, yet something seemed so familiar.
He turned only to find most everyone gone, and Dumbledor standing beside him.
"So, you've noticed the young lady too." Dumbledor asked with a twinkle in his eyes.
"Not in the way you're thinking." Snape snapped.
"I believe that girl is a vengeful soul. She has to kill someone before she can be set free. Perhaps it is best if we invite her to the school. We need to keep an eye on her."
"We don't even know if she has the gift of a witch or warlock!" Snape hissed.
"Oh, but she does! Go on, invite her, she's obviously Slytherin."
Snape walked over to the girl and glared down at her.
"Come with me. You're going to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Snape hissed.
"Did you hear that?" The girl asked the snakes. "I'm going back to school. Best get my wand!"
'She's crazy!' he thought.
She pulled a wand out and summoned a small money bag practically ripping at the edges from the bulges.
"I will have to buy some things! Like robes! I have everything else!"
"Oh really? You've never attended Hogwarts so how do you know what books you need?"
"That's for me to know and you to find out Professor Snape…"
