CSI Meets YYH
Note: CSI is my favorite show that isn't Japanese. I thought it would be cool to mix CSI and YYH. At first Yusuke was going to have a black light but we didn't think that was a good idea.
Note: Koenma is in his teenage form for this.
KoEnma was the supervisor for the forensics department in Las Vegas, Nevada. His team consisted of some of the best criminologists that Spirit World had to offer. He also had the best detective of Spirit World working for him.
KoEnma was on the graveyard shift and just about to go on another case. It was called in at 10:00 pm, Thursday night. A possible murder victim fell from the ceiling onto a black jack table in the MGM Grand.
KoEnma met Dr. Jorge Saotome, the coroner, at the crime scene.
"What do we have this time?" asked KoEnma.
"Looks like strangulation. Fibers indicate that it was probably done by a type of cloth."
"T. O. D.?"
Note: TOD Time Of Death
"I would say about 24 hours ago."
"What's the bruising on his body?"
"I'd say that it's postmortem. Suggesting that maybe he was dragged."
"One last question, what's the vics Id?"
"Kazuma Kuwabara. He just turned 21."
Note: I know everybody hates Kuwabara and wants him dead, so I thought instead of waiting I'd just kill him off in the first page.
KoEnma picked up his cell phone and called Shuichi Minamino and Ayame.
"Hey I need you here ASAP. We got a murder vic at the MGM Grand.
"So what do we have?" asked Keiko Yukimura.
"Arsenic. Witness called it in about 9:00pm," said the officer.
"Well we better get started," said Keiko's short CSI partner, Hiei. "What's this?" Hiei held a wine bottle that looked pretty damaged.
Keiko turned around, holding the softnose. "Fumes show use of accelerant. Looks like gasoline."
"Hey, look I found some white fibers in the bottle. Might suggest Molotov coktail."
"We better get the fibers to trace but first, Officer, whose house is this?" asked Keiko.
"resident: Kazuma Kuwabara."
Keiko met KoEnma at trace/DNA. Usually trace and DNA are two separate departments but at this lab it was all run by Genkai, probably the oldest criminologist and pain in the rear end to walk the planet.
"Look's like our two cases just became one," Koenma to the inquisitive girl.
"Look's like it," said Keiko.
"The fibers on the vic's neck and the fibers that Hiei found are the same. 50 cotton and 50 polyester, same type preferably used on hotel towels," informed Genkai.
"Keiko, you and Hiei check the body with Jorge. Shuichi will call Yusuke for a warrant for all the casino records pertaining to our vic and a MGM towel to compare the towels to. Ayame and I will check the hotel he fell from.
