The Wraith had been awoken.

The party went unnoticed by Kara as she stood, staring out at the water her thoughts swirling around in her mind but always settling on that fact...the Wraith had been awoken. They would begin to feed again. Harvesting and culling the worlds they'd victimized for millennia. Lifting her eyes to the stars, the young Kryptonian woman knew somewhere out there, Argo City - like Atlantis - rested on a planet orbiting one of those points of light. If, that was, they'd successfully made the journey.

Transiting an entire city from one galaxy to another was anything but easy. Just because their ancestors had managed it once...

They'd made it, she had to believe that. Her parents had convinced them to move when her uncle had warned them of the impending disaster. The Goa'uld had been showing more signs of interest in their technology and the Council had decided, no matter what their counterparts on Krypton itself chose, they were leaving. Zor-El had been given the task of supervising the move. If anyone could do it...

She'd left the city before it had left the galaxy, before it had been out of reach, ending up on Earth where she'd found her cousin but...The chance to go home was one she couldn't pass up. As much as she adored Earth...she missed her city.

Atlantis wasn't it but...this was where they'd been heading. Where they'd wanted to go. She had to hope they were here. The few humans with the genes of the Ancestors weren't enough to fight the Wraith. The weapons they'd brought with them weren't enough either. Kara's abilities were something but as strong as she was, even she couldn't fight off all the Wraith.

If Clark had come with her...

But he had to stay.

He had his duty and she had hers but what hers had turned out to be was drastically different than what she'd expected. She'd come looking for home.

Instead, she'd found the abandoned city of Atlantis, planets of innocent victims, and an enemy she'd thought only a childhood story bearing down on them...

She hadn't come to fight a war.

But, it seemed, she had little choice in the matter. She wasn't about to leave the new citizens of Atlantis to certain death simply because she wanted to go home but she wasn't going to stop looking for Argo City either. Her parents would help. They'd convince the others. The Wraith were their problem. Their battle. They would pick up where their ancestors had left off.

She had no other choice and no other option.

This would be the last harvest of the Wraith. She'd see to it.

Or die trying.
