This is a short story about Verity Hawke dealing with depression and the loss of her family, and being left broken hearted by her lover (Fenris). When she is at her lowest, she discovers she is not as alone as she feels. Varric has been silently waiting for her all this time.

He's heard her scream in her sleep so he presses her into telling him what happened. She opens up to him and Alistair can see this is his chance to confess his feelings to her, which she may or may not feel the same way.
