Note: I don't know what this is. Aside from InuKai. And short. And not my usual style of writing. Don't know where the hell I was going with it. Wrote it in twenty minutes when I should have been getting ready for class. Unedited. You've been warned.
Summary: Kaidoh likes Inui. Except when Inui annoys him.
Untitled
Kaidoh liked Inui.
He was pretty sure Inui liked him, too.
But no matter what he did, Inui never treated him as more than a friend.
It was frustrating.
However, Kaidoh didn't know the first thing about how to get Inui to treat him like... like... whatever it was that people who were more than just friends were.
He couldn't calculate the best course of action, like Inui could.
All he could do was wait.
He had been waiting for a very long time.
Sometimes, in the clubhouse, he would feel Inui's eyes on him as he changed into his school uniform. It had been happening almost every day lately.
But that didn't mean anything if he couldn't get Inui to act on it.
With a sigh, he banged his head on the wall he was sitting against. It was concrete. It hurt. "Stupid Inui-senpai," he muttered to himself.
"Kaidoh?"
"What?" he growled back. He didn't care who it was. He wasn't in a good mood.
"Perhaps I will return when you are feeling less hostile."
That voice. It couldn't be anyone else but... He finally turned his head, and of course Inui-senpai was standing there. He had probably heard Kaidoh call him stupid, too. But Kaidoh didn't feel like apologizing.
"What do you want?" To stare and not do anything like usual? Kaidoh was shirtless, sopping wet towel on the concrete at his feet. He stood up and crossed his arms over his chest, glaring at Inui.
If he concentrated on how annoyed he was, he wouldn't be so easily distracted by whatever Inui did.
"Hm, I was going to ask you to marry me, but with your current mood there is a 98 chance that you will refuse."
"You... what?" Did Inui think this was funny? He didn't wait for a reply. He picked up the towel and found his shirt. He didn't look anywhere near Inui.
Then he started walking.
"Kaidoh?" Inui was following him.
Kaidoh didn't answer. He wondered how far Inui would follow him.
All the way home, apparently.
Kaidoh turned around and stared at Inui. Inui stared back. Or Kaidoh thought he did. It was hard to tell with the glasses. Neither of them said anything. Kaidoh turned to go inside.
"Wait."
Kaidoh looked at Inui over his shoulder. "What?"
"Do you hate me?"
Kaidoh turned back. "Why would I hate you?"
"Because I waited so long to do this." And then Inui stepped forward and kissed him.
Kaidoh forgot about being annoyed.
end.
This was... seriously random. Kind of a style experiment, as well. Hopefully not too bad even if it is short and pointless.
