Thoughts of an Elf
Disclaimer: Just something I made up. I guess it could be used for Arwen and Aragorn. Maybe.
I shall live forever
He shall die one day
I will be eternally beautiful
His youth shall fade away
I shall never know the chill of the breeze
Or the cold of snow
Yet in the winter he shall surely freeze
And the cold of winter he shall know
What if things where different
What if I where him?
I would know the pains of mortals
And he know beauty like a Seraphim.
But I am elf and he is man
He shall soon fade away
The many years of his life to me
Are just the span of one day.
