Legend of Zelda: a fathers love
When Liea got home, she saw her father coming out of the house, he took her hand "let's go to Hyrule" he sighed.
The podium was set up in the town square. The king and princess came up to the podium with a big worn brown box. Everyone became quiet; the king spoke out the rules and soon to call out names.
"Smith…chamberlain…Margot…hero" he called out.
Link walked up to the podium after David Margot got his paper. Link reached into the box and pulled out a paper and slowly walked up to his daughter. The king called out the last name which was him, he took a paper.
"Open your papers" he called out.
Everyone opened their paper; Link and Liea was the unfortunate. They both went up to the podium.
"Link our good hero and his only child are you ready?" the king asked them.
They nodded. The king sighed and dropped in two papers in the box.
"Draw but don't open them until I say' the king said.
Link drew, then Liea….
"Open your ballots" the king instructed.
They opened them, Liea let out a little cry.
"NO-No NOT MY DAUGHTER!" Link screamed.
Liea was making her way down the stairs when Link ran after her and embraced her tight "she's only twelve take me!" Link yelled, there was a murmur among the crowd.
Link was in tears "don't take my daughter, like my wife!"
The king sighed "Link its tradition"
"NO! You take me! For if I'm the sacrifice my blood lines will still live on"
The king looked down "are you sure that you want to do this?"
"Yes for my child' tears were streaming down his cheeks.
"Very well then' the king said.
Link laughed a bit and kissed his daughter one last time on the head "live" he told her.
The townsfolk gathered around Link, "let's finish this quick" the king said.
Liea looked up "daddy?!"
"Go on sweetie, I'll be fine, you-you get in with the other people" he still embraced her "I love you" he then let her go, she went up to her grandpa, Talon, he handed her a stone.
Link looked at his daughter lovely even as the first few stones hit him; soon he was engulfed in stones by the people. He died without a single cry…just a smile on his face. Afterwards the townsfolk left except Liea. She walked up to her dead father and laid his head on her lap "wake up daddy please" she cried but it was no use, she was covered in her father's blood.
"Daddy!" she cried as she fell into despair.
