Spectral Mercy for a Cursed Soul

by Véronica

(First) Murderer: to Banquo's ghost

Macbeth's deception ran deep;

Into flesh and bone it did seep.

Made to believe you stole our land,

Took it in your pocket with your own hand.

We realized too late his lies.

You're right, tis' time one

of we three dies.

Though vengeful as you maybe,

Spectral in form as we see,

May you, and heavenly host,

Have mercy on our mortal souls.

Why expect such allowance? But for regret!

Such causeless murder my conscience

would not forget.

So have me dead - as I had you,

And mercy on me as I should have too.

Disclaimer: I don't own the characters or anything... Willy Shakespeare does. Ja... Great, I know.

I wrote this for a school project, thought I'd get some R&R from here to see your opinions. Please criticize.
