Wind Beneath my Wings
Dear Link,
Thank you once again for saving The Great Valoo and all of the Rito tribe. Thank you for calming Valoo down also, and thank you for giving me the courage for going to his nest and getting the Scale that I needed to grow my wings. I know that I was bossy and rude and now that I see what kind of a jerk that I was I am truly sorry. You seemed so content about me talking to you like that, like nothing could bring you down to tears, shame, or anger.
It must have been cold there in my shadow
To never have sunlight on your face
You've been content to let me shine
You always walked a step behind
I didn't even know your name until just recently when Medli told me who you were. You saved us (and especially Medli) from that monster that was tugging on Valoo's tail. And thanks to you I have just started to grow my wings!
I was the one with all the glory
While you were the one with all the strength
Only a face without a name
I never once heard you complain
And now I can fly as high as Quill, or as my father, or even as Medli's grandmother, and you helped me achieve that.
Did you ever know that you're my hero
And everything I'd like to be
I can fly higher than an eagle
But you are the wind beneath my wings
I would have never even gotten a scale if Ganondorf had not shown up, I was much too scared. But you have shown me courage and I know that I would be nothing without you! You have done much more than help me though. You have helped all the future generations to be brave.
It might have appeared to go unnoticed
But I've got it all here in my heart
I want you to know I know the truth
I would be nothing without you
I'll see to it that you become a legend in this village, wether my father likes it or not! Thank you for always being there for me and Medli, as well as the whole of the village.
Did you ever know that you're my hero
And everything I'd like to be
I can fly higher than an eagle
But you are the wind beneath my wings
You are the wind beneath my wings
Sincerely yours,
Prince Komali
P.S. Don't tell my dad about this letter, I'm sending it with Quill even though my father tells me not to send letters of my own.
Disclaimer: I do NOT own Zelda, I never did and never will. I also don't own the song Wind Beneath my Wings. It belongs to Lee Greenwood
