THE FIRST PRINCIPLE LAW

LIGT AND DARK

Preface

Ansem was a good ruler. Many called him the 'Just Judge,' for her ruled with the

justice of the gods. Others called him the 'Wise Wizard,' for his wisdom was of the

sages of old. Others gave him the title the 'Light of Life,' for it was under his rule theat

the World of the Unbroken Sanctuary (Authors Note: Hollow Bastion, before Ansem

turns dark) not only survied, but flourished. But even in the purest of lights there must

be a shadow cast. Such is the first natural law: That everything, no matter how

untainted it is always holds some form of the miasma called darkness. This same force,

this thick murk, which drips with a mixture of malice, fear, hatred, and sorrow, was the

single cause for the emodiment of light, the ruler of this kingdom, to forget his morality,

forget his wisdom, to forget his light. Yet this first natural law can be turned both ways,

for where there is shadow there must also be somewhere, some, even if so small,

evidence of a semblance of light. And this is what saved the King the people knew and

loved. After the Keyblade Master had struck him down, this creature without a heart

of it's own, his only small shine of light was the key that triggered the division. The light

of the King became the one called Anka, and the dark of the beast became Malsem.

Such was the first exception to this first natural law. But after the worlds were again

separated, the need arose for these two to be joined, lest the balance of the World

Order be broken, and the worlds slowly deteriorate. The ones Anka abd Malsem must

be joined, and the chosen one must join them.
