Title: Sleep, Perchance to Dream
Author: Alexis
Pairing: MomoEiji and OishiEiji, kinda...
Rating: R
Warnings: citrus-flavored fun, AU, introspectiveness?
Notes: for the tenipuri500 dream challenge. I promised lavenderlilly that I'd write a companion fic if she wrote hers, so this was spawned from the RP collegepot. Eiji just...really doesn't know what he wants. Silly boy.
Disclaimer: If I owned Prince of Tennis, all the boys would be paired with each other, so that's why I write fanfiction.
Words: 443

He was having that dream again. He couldn't remember how many times it had come to haunt his sleep, but it had been a while now. It was always the same, it would be late at night and he'd be alone in the gym going through his floor exercises on the gymnastics mats.

Just as the music would end, he'd feel arms wrap around him from behind, familiar arms, strong arms. A mouth would lower to his neck, kissing, licking, biting, sucking. Then the hands would move; one inching up under his shirt to tease at nipples that had become hardened nubs; the other would slide into the loose workout pants he wore, cupping his arousal before starting to stroke it at a maddeningly slow pace.

He would then thrust back, grinding his ass against the erection behind him, soft moans and gasps of pleasure escaping his lips, echoing off the high ceiling of the gym. He longed to turn around, to look into the eyes of his lover, yet he knew that they would keep him facing away.

His hidden lover continued to stroke him, touch him, tease him until near madness. The moans of pleasure tripping from his lips grew louder, until they finally culminated in a wordless cry that reached the rafters of the large gymnasium.

Only then was he allowed to turn to face his lover, and when he looked up, it wasn't into violet eyes, but ones the color of the most brilliant emeralds. He didn't know if it was him who leaned up or the other boy who lowered his head, but their lips came closer and closer...

And then Eiji would wake up, each time panting harshly, his heart pounding erratically. He looked across the room at Syusuke, but his roommate seemed to still be asleep. He just hoped that the other boy never caught his nighttime misadventures on film, knowing his roommate's penchant for embarrassing photographs of others.

Reaching out for his teddy bear, he cuddled Daigoro close, and thought about the dream that had been plaguing him for weeks now. He knew each time he dreamed, the person behind him would end up being Oishi; no matter that he knew it should be Momo.

But...did it mean absolutely nothing, these dreams of his, or were they his subconscious telling him what he really wanted? Eiji didn't know the truth, but he did know that he did want to sleep. For while he slept within the embrace of his dreams, he didn't have to deal with the confusion and mixed feelings that made up his days. In dreams, his choices were already made for him.
