The wooden plank hit the ground with a huge clomp. Brad's haggard breathing wheezed in and out. And a long lock of hair fell into his face. His emerald eyes, full of pain were locked in the pools of deep blue staring back at him.
"Shane…" He said, barely audible. The deceased ranger stared back at him. "You… have to go."
"No." Shane replied. "You need my help."
"You're not real." The red ranger's body felt like all strength had been taken from it. "You're dead."
"No… no I'm not." He grabbed Brad's hand and placed it over his heart. "See, me, here. I am alive."
" But… what about the command center… I saw your body." Brad's eyes dripped with tears.
Shane lifted his shirt off and showed Brad a large gaping hole in his chest. "This is nothing. I've never felt better."
Ripping his hand away, the ranger screamed and jumped further back into the closet. "NO!"
"Come on Brad. You can feel good too. I promise." He slowly stepped forward. Blood began to trickle from his eyes, mirroring the tears streaming from Brad's own. "Let me make you feel all better again."
"STOP IT!!!!" Brad wrapped his arms over his face and knelt down into the closet, trying desperately to block out the murmurings of the dead.
"Alright then. Ruin my fun." His voice changed. Before he could see who it was, a hand grappled onto his arm and threw him out of the closet. The red ranger tumbled into a pile of paint cans. "Y'know, I never did understand what it was about you that I liked. Or even could stand."
Adam sent a heavy kick into Brad's stomach, then lifted him up by the jacket. He was stronger then ever before. It must have been the evil coursing through his veins.
"Y'know, I don't even remember what I liked about you. Or more so, how I could stand to be around you." He rammed Brad into a cabinet and pinned him there. He had a ferocity that was unmatched by any villain he had faced before. Maybe it was because Adam had an emotional charge behind his madness. The red ranger dropped his head and let out a guttural sob.
"Wait." Adam paused and leaned in to brad's forehead. Very gently he coaxed Brad. "Look at me Bradley. Come on."
Brad raised his face and looked at the black holes that were Adam's eyes. A large gash on his forehead leaked crimson, as well as a busted lip.
"There it is." His breath caressed Brad's face, like and icy breeze. "I can see Rocky through your eyes…"
He pulled Brad in for a hard kiss. He forced his tongue into the red ranger's mouth, for a deeper effect. Part of Brad was disgusted, but part of him could feel the tenderness they once shared. Adam ripped away from him and dropped him to the floor. He almost lost it.
"Dammit!" He yelled, crashing a fist through the wall.
Brad began to scramble away from the kitchen. Adam turned around . "Oh no, little ducky! You don't get away that fast!!" He gripped Brad by the ankle and pulled him back. Brad returned with a kick to the face. "How did you know I liked it rough!" It didn't even phase him.
"Get the hell off of me!" The words were hoarse and loud. Brad finally found his won voice. He kicked Adam in the face two more times, and finally he let go. Brad scrambled to his feet and ran out of the apartment, followed closely by Adam.
The red ranger ran onto the landing and tripped over the fallen debris. Finally, he reached Brad and pulled him up by the hair. " Awe... you pissed Daddy off… time for some punishment." With a strong thrust of Adam's arm, Brad went over the railing.
