Chapter one:

It was a normal day, just like any other. Raven was in her room, BB and Cyborg were playing video games, Robin and Starfire were watching BB and Cyborg as they talked with each other.

" What is this power-up Beast Boy speaks of?" Starfire had asked in her normal clue-less voice.

"Its something that make Beast Boy stronger Star." Robin replied. He loved her innocence, the sound of her voice,……. Everything about her.

'I cant tell her, not now …not in front of everyone' Robin secretly thought as he stared at her.

' Why cant we stay like this forever, surrounded by friends, sitting with each other, talking with each other. I love every moment of this but I can help wondering if he feels the same.' Starfire had been thinking about her feelings for Robin for a long time now, too much time for her to count. 'I can no longer wait for him, have I not been obvious enough? I am quite sure I have been. There is only one explanation left……… he does not love me.'

"Star, what's wrong?" Robin had been getting worried. She had been staring off into space for at least 10 minutes.

"Oh, it is nothing Robin ……. just a thing of the past" She said solemnly.

There was no emotion on her face. Robin had never seen this happen. He was worried for her but he did not want to ask what was wrong. Star gave him a reassuring smile.

'I'll have to settle with that for now' Thought Robin as he went back to watching Cyborg beat Beast Boy at his own game. But he could not help thinking something was wrong as Starfire silently got up from the couch with not as much as a goodbye and walked down the hall to her room.

StarFire's Room

'I can no longer live with this, there is no way to have happiness now. If I don't think about this it will go away, I will make it go away.'

Starfire go up from the bed she was sitting on and went to her closet. She searched through her closet and finally found what she wanted. A black box, given to her by her sister before she was evil.

She slowly opened the box, not wanting to make a sound. Finally the box was open and a dagger lay inside of it.

'I will make it go away………………..'

No longer did she wait with the first swift move there was a cut across her wrist. The teenage girl whimpered with pain but she thought that it was not enough. She still though of Robin even as her blood fell to the floor. Soon there were three cuts on each of her arms.

'If there are more someone will surely notice…….' Starfire had stopped. She took out her spare towels and carefully wrapped the around her arms. She saw it would not be enough to hide these cuts. Starfire grabbed her only hoodie, a black one, and walked out into the kitchen.

I do not want to promote cutting yourself….….. it is one of the worst things in the world. I am just putting this in my story because some teens do resort to cutting as a way out of their problems. I would like this story to relate to real life in some ways.

Please read and review!! This is my first chapter ever!!! If enough people like it I will continue this story!
