Alucard's Familiar: "You could call this the sequel to The Stain Upon My Heart, but it really has no character biased. It could apply to any of the characters, dead or alive, manga or anime. I felt like being vague. T'was fun."
Standard disclaimer: "I own zip and my wallet has bats flying out of it."
Void is The Emptiness That is I
I stand here in the darkness, alone in the night. There is fighting all around me, and I fight myself, as well as my enemies. Death be quick to them, for this one is slow and painful for me. Darkness surrounds me.
Welcome to the planet
Welcome to existence
Everyone's here
Everyone's here
Everybody's watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next
What happens next
I open my eyes, but the darkness is so brilliant it blinds me. I close them to try and see in the light of my mind, but it has gone dim, my mind fading away. Darkness creeps upon my skin.
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened before
I reach out, touching the wall of blood of my fellow fighters, the water fall of souls that flows down the never ending river of death. I feel as though I am about to fall into the raging river, become that river. I am the creator of that river. I am cold.
Welcome to the fallout
Welcome to resistance
The tension is here
Tension is here
Between who you are and who you could be
Between how it is and how it should be
The hand of the phantasm reaches out to touch me, and I am frozen to the spot in which I stand, an obsidian obelisk suck into the ground, never to move. His touch makes my heart stop, and I am as still as death, more so, I no longer exist. Death exists, I do not. Darkness consumes me.
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened before
I open my eyes again, but this time the darkness is not blinding, because I see through it, gleaning light from nothingness. The river of souls cleanses me, revives me, soothes me. I am no longer fighting, for I am the victor. I have won. Darkness reverberates.
Maybe redemption has stories to tell
Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell
Where can you run to escape from yourself?
Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna go?
Salvation is here
Pulling in a breath, the breath I no longer need, never truly have needed, and never will need again, I smile. No longer am I in the darkness, no longer am I lost, for the phantasm took my hand, and led me down the river. I am that phantasm, and I am the darkness.
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened
Today never happened
Today never happened before
OOOO
Alucard's Familiar: "Like it? I originally wrote it in the dark watching a Malcolm X movie. Who says you have to pay attention in English class? I was writing! (Grin) Reviews are appreciated, flames accepted, and constructive criticism loved. Thanks for reading."
