Swan Song
Like a gardener you stand there admiring your work,
the mountainous flower,
your faced covered with a smirk
whilst you gaze at the ultimate sign of power.
You daren't think treacherously of the voice in your head,
of all the lives that will be lost,
of the truth from which you've fled,
if it's indeed worth the cost.
The whore of Babylon shows no remorse.
Will you die for this,
your handmade Trojan horse,
and be lured into the abyss?
Before I leave and end my swan song,
please tell me what did I do wrong?
