Remembering when I looked to the sky,
And fell in love with a lustrous star.
Remembering how you glistened up high;
So beautiful, unreachable.
--
Remembering why I couldn't touch you,
A grim light that shone downwards.
Remembering the beams you sent askew,
A mere drop in my hand.
--
Remembering your heart I couldn't grasp,
Sand through my fingers.
Rememb'ring my naked soul you en-clasped,
So unaware.
--
Remembering which side you reside on,
Faraway.
Remembering all the places you've gone,
Solo.
--
I remember when I loved a shooting
Star.
Author's note: Sorry about this being a typical love/angst kind of poem. Just a note though, the syllable count is 10,9,10,8,10,7,10,6,10,5,10,4,10,3,10,2,10,1. The rhyming words are only in the '10' lines. It's kind of about loving someone that is unreachable. Like, having a crush on an actor or singer, and they could care less about the person in love. They are on the go; always looking for new game, new parts of space to explore…yeah…I got this idea from a manga, yet again. Sigh. Hope you enjoyed anyway!
