Hovering Mistletoe by elspethlove
Ahhhh, Christmas. One of Ginny's favourite words. And Christmas always meant one thing. Well, it actually meant a number of things, but to Ginny, the main thing was mistletoe.
Now, the other students who went home for Christmas didn't know about this, but often certain students charmed sprigs of mistletoe to fly around the school and hover above unsuspecting students and teachers, trapping them into a moment of surprise and a lifetime of embarrassment, well maybe not a lifetime, but I'm sure it felt like that.
On this particular day, as Ginny Weasley woke and got dressed, nothing suggested to her that this day was going to be different to any other day. As she walked down to the Great Hall for breakfast, she noticed how empty the castle became during holidays. There were no students surrounding her, but this wasn't surprising as she had chosen to rise early to avoid the few people that were left. She saw Ron and Hermione up ahead and was about to call out to them, when she saw Ron pull her best friend close and kiss her. Ginny's heart filled with joy as she noticed the mistletoe hovering above the pair, and silently crept off into the Hall.
Unfortunately she didn't notice that she was the next unsuspecting victim of the mistletoe. Insert climax music here
The mistletoe hovered above her head, following her towards her seat, towards her future.
And today was the day that Draco Malfoy would thank every deity that he walked in the middle, that he'd risen early and today of all day's, he'd given in to his soon-to-be addiction of feisty attractive red-heads.
