Power of the Heart
As I stand here in the cold darkness
Resting against this cold, hard wall
I feel a pain
A pain I can't explain
But in this cold apparent loneliness
There is a single light of hope
A warmth it the cold easing my pain
A bit of hope in what seems so hopeless
And in what seems like a
Terrible time
A small pure boy still exists
I feel he represents what could be
That the future could be a brighter place
And gives me a new reason to
Fight evil to preserve the peace
In this world so that maybe
More children could turn out as pure
And kind as this little boy
I protect him so that his purity may be persevered
I care for him to nurture that purity
So it will bloom and grow
I protect him
That he may be a constant reminder for me
So I'll never forget what
I"m fighting for
So through your very worst at me
And I'll resist it
Because I'm the one who is
Destined to protect this world
