"Talking"
It was dark and the snow was starting to fall. 'Another Christmas without Ed and Al.'
Winry had been staring through the window for a couple of hours. She was hoping to catch a glimpse of a certain blonde walking together with a suit of armour. She had been in that position so long that her back was aching. 'Well, no use expecting them to come home for Christmas this year. It's not as if they ever come home for Christmas.' Winry sigh and got up from the chair she had been sitting on while stretching her arm and legs to waken them from the sleep they had fallen into.
"Winry, are they here?" Aunt Pinako asked from the kitchen.
"Nope, they're not here for this year as well."
Winry was about to head back to her room when a certain picture caught her eye. 'Stupid Ed and Al forgot to come home for Christmas. All I wanted was to look at his sun-kissed long blonde hair. The blonde hair that looks like gold glittering when the wind caresses it with the utmost care. Those golden eyes that….'
"Woof!!" "Woof"
"What is it? Is there something out there?"
The dog waged his tail as it nudged Winry's hand, beckoning her to open the door.
"Al, do you think Winry would kill me if we show up with her broken automail?"
"Well…err"
"I know, she'll definitely kill me. I swear that Colonel bastard did this on purpose. First he said he wanted to spar then all he does is hit my automail!!!" Edward went on rambling about his 'misfortune' until they reach Winry's doorstep. Once there, Edward was quiet….too quiet. Edward was having an intense argument in his mind. 'This is a very BAD idea!!!' 'It's a GOOD idea since my automail is broken!!' "Woof!"
"Eh?" "Woof!"
Edward was frozen solid. The door to his doom slowly open to reveal….."Winry!"
"Edo!!! Al!!!" Winry was surprised. Before her stood a sheepish looking Ed with a broken automail arm. "Ahehehehhe..gomen ne Winry, your automail." Ed said while rubbing his hair with his other arm.
One look at it was all it took for Winry to burst and shout at Ed. "Ed!! What did you do to my automail?? It's missing two…." This went on for a good whole 5 minutes before Winry finally calmed down.
"It's good that you're back. I missed you." Winry said before rushing to Ed and hugging him. Ed looked as though the world had come to an end. He was terrified.
"Winry" Ed began. Ed could feel Winry's tears staining his shirt. Realization of today's date had hit him. He never knew it meant so much to her. Hugging her back he said "Merry Christmas Winry. We're home.'
"Ed" Winry said after her sobbing had creased. 'This is the best Christmas present ever!"
