Chapter 1
Yuna lay beside Tidus and stared at the stars that twinkled in the far off space. The chattering behind them seemed miles away. Tidus looked at Yuna as she pointed out a constellation. He brushed a stray hair from her face and gently kissed her.
"I love you, Yuna," he said quietly.
"I love you too, I missed you so very much," Yuna said then kissed Tidus.
They heard footsteps approaching and looked to see Wakka walking towards them, Vidane is his arms.
"Hey! Not to interrupt you, but Yuna, you got a speech to do, yeah," Wakka said while rubbing the back of his head.
Yuna stood up and began to walk with Tidus by her side. He took her hand in his and they walked towards the large crowd of people.
Rikku saw them and waved, "Hey Yunie, what were you guys doing all by yourselves?"
"Rikku, leave them alone," Paine said in a monotone voice.
"Hey, I'm entitled to say whatever I want!" Rikku giggled.
Brother watched Yuna and Tidus carefully and scowled as Tidus put his arm around Yuna.
"Calm down, Brother, you have to be happy she's finally found him," Buddy said before elbowing him.
"Calm down? I can't!" Brother said.
"Come on, they were meant to be together!"
"You're right…"
Yuna looked over at Wakka and Lulu who were taking care of little Vidane. She smiled and held Tidus close to her.
"Well I'd best go and talk to everyone," Yuna said and then walked over to Wakka and whispered something in his ear. Wakka nodded and got everyone's attention.
"Everyone, Yuna's got something to say, so quiet down," Wakka said loudly.
Everyone went silent, and the only sound audible was the crackling of the fire.
"Thank you everyone," Yuna said, "I just wanted to say, thank you for all your support. Vegnagun has been defeated, and Spira is safe once again." The crowd cheered and then went silent again, "And Tidus, my guardian during my pilgrimage, has returned to us. So everyone, be thankful, and continue living lives as free people! For Spira will always be safe!"
