Draft 1

My Dishonest Lover

Had I but world enough and time,

Time I would change upon the hour,

Of that faithful day.

My love, my one.

A faithless actress courted me,

She knew no boundaries,

Of words as sweet as the morning dew.

She charmed my heart, my soul, my life,

Yet when the day turned dark,

She sought the company of another.

My heart, she's broken,

My soul, she's lost,

My life, now dead.

I sit here now,

Surrounded by ravens of my life,

In black cacophonaus flocks.

I shall return again,

To realise once again my thousand dreams.

Hark!

Thank the Lord for friends,

Surely I would be lost without them,

To ease my mind of long years of pain.
