Disclaimer: I do not own Star Trek (which is a pity, as if it were up to me Enterprise would not have started, let alone been renewed for whichever season it is on, no offense to Enterprise-fans)
Beta (as such): My great aunt (thanks!)
Explanation: Ahem. This poem came about, as I was forced to attend a church service on the last day of school. It was boring. Very boring. Skull-crushingly, mind-numbingly boring. And as it usually does in these situations my mind turned to Star Trek. It just so happened that the night before I had been reading some of "I am Spock" by Leonard Nimoy, and, reading his comments about the third season my mind turned to that in particular ( I have seen precisely five episodes of ST:TOS : Where no man has gone before, Arena, Squire of Gothos, The Alternative Factor and The Corbomite Manoeuvre) So therefore I am utterly unqualified to make a judgement about it, however let us say that my general impression of "Spock's brain" has not been good. I began thinking about the Enterprise in general, and somehow this poem was born. I apologise for the more than hideous rhyme fifth and sixth lines. If anyone has some suggestions please leave them on the reviews. ( You are going to review right?....right?) Anyway in conclusion , I will finish my asinine babblings and let you read it (sorry). Please R & R. Enjoy!

A Starship Named Enterprise
A starship named Enterprise had a valiant crew
Who almost seemed mostly to know what to do
With "moral" guidance from a cantankerous doc,
And conflicting advice from an "emotionless" Spock
Hailing frequencies opened, by the lovely Uhura
And lectures on Physics from the chief engineer.
Competent piloting from Chekov and Zulu.
Yes the Enterprise crew always knew what to do
Whether 'tis Klingons, off the bow of starboard,
Or a childish squire, wielding a sword
A "violent" alien, name of Balok
Or a murderous Gorn, with an oversized rock
But what if the Enterprise should lose its way
What if from the path of good taste it should stray
What if the writers lose their plot?
Who but the audience will pay the cost?
If such a disaster should come about,
Beyond the benefit of the doubt
At least we shall know what it is to be:
The DVD version of season three!
