The Hidden Shaman - Chapter 3: The Darkness Within

Author's Note: My, My, it's been over 7 months since I've been here. To anyone reading my fiction, I'm terribly sorry about this HUGE delay, but life is busy, ya know? So, then, shall we continue with the story?

2 weeks later.

Anna lie awake in her bed.

"What happened to you, brother?"

She reminisced about the fun they had together, but she remembered the day they were separated. She realized she had never been in contact with him ever since. Yoh sat beside her.

"Don't worry, Anna, we'll figure out something."

Still not feeling assured, Anna went to sleep.

Anlanzer stood above the hill.

"That day is coming, the day I will be the Shaman King!"

The next day Yoh and Anna went out to search for Tomoe and Pirika, they met up with Horo Horo and they went off. They searched all around. Anna figured she could sense where her brother was. So, she closed her eyes and mediated. She determined his position by the sheer force of the power Anlanzer emanated. They ran quickly.

"We can't mess around; Anlanzer is like nothing we faced before…"

Anlanzer felt they were coming near.

"Oh, so soon, it's only been 2 weeks. He must be willing to die."

He jumped off to meet them. Yoh, Anna and Horo Horo were greeted by Anlanzer.

"WHERE ARE TAMAO AND PIRIKA?"

"Hey, hey, lower your voice. They're fine. Now, why may I ask have you come so soon?"

Yoh spoke.

"We won't let you have your way anymore."

"Is that so?'

Anlanzer laughed. Without even spirit forming, he grabbed his lance and appeared behind Anna, he moved so quickly he wasn't even seen. He held his lance at her neck. Anna was horrified.

"What will you do, Yoh?"

"You're sick! You'd hurt your own sister!?"

"SHE'S NOT MY SISTER!! SHE BETRAYED ME!"

Angered even further, Anlanzer jabbed his lance into Anna's neck and a little blood began to spout out. Anna was shocked by his words. She whispered to herself.

"W-What did I do…?"

Horo Horo came rushing in from behind, but he only was struck down by Anlanzer.

"Did you think I forgot about you…?"

Anlanzer through Anna to the ground, a dark aura began to surround Anlanzer. Anna looked up.

"What's going on?"

Anlanzer spirit formed and grabbed his lance, Horo Horo was still stunned on the ground when Anlanzer came crashing on his leg his spear, stabbing right through his flesh. Horo Horo screamed in agony, as Yoh and Anna watched in horror. Enraged, Yoh charged at him with Amidamaru in his sword.

"Haven't you learned your lesson yet?

Anlanzer jabbed Yoh with the end of lance and gave him a swift knee to the stomach causing Yoh to spit blood. Anna could not believe her eyes. Her brother never had such power, nor such ruthlessness. Yoh and Horo Horo lay on the ground writhing in pain. Anlanzer laughed.

"Now, will you surrender to me Yoh?"

The dark aura around Anlanzer increased, and Anlanzer pointed his weapon directly at Yoh's chest.
