Never Let Them See You Bleed
Never-
The boy sat on the bench, contemplating the knowledge that he had been broken. He had known it would happen, he had known that he couldn't handle life if something else happened too soon. Well that something else had happened, and way too soon. He wasn't ready, and because he wasn't ready, He broke.
Never Had Finally Come-
Let-
The part of him that was broken, the part that was gone, it wasn't ever coming back. He had let it go, and now nothing could make it better, nothing except for emptiness. As he realized this, he released his hold, he gave up the last part of his soul keeping him sane, he freed his emotions, his feelings, and he embraced the emptiness with a cold grin that would never reach his eyes.
With that grin, he let the last piece of innocence he had left slip through his mind.
Them-
He knew that they were there. Always there; destroying his life, destroying him. Every time they learned of a weakness, they jumped on it, every opening in his defenses they exploited. To keep them out he built up his walls.
With his walls he built himself a sanctuary that would soon become his prison.
See-
The world could see him. If he opened the door to himself, he knew that they would look in. With that thought, he closed off the world and locked the only door that opened into his sanctuary.
He barred the only opening that could ever be used to get to him; he shut the only window into his soul, so no one could ever see him again.
You-
He looked at him self, he looked at his emptiness, his barred door, his inability to ever trust.
He looked at himself and his cold empty soul, and he smirked at what he saw.
Bleed-
There was something that he missed, behind his closed doors, and empty shell. Inside that cavity, he missed his weakenss. There was one last bit of emotion, the smallest part left, and it bled. Slowly over time it would fill the empty chamber and the pain and blood would pour out for the entire world to see; breaking his vow…
