This poem kind of goes with my fan-fic... so enjoy.

Death

A ringing cry in the night that makes you wonder

Why are you still here... as cold wind rushes around your hair

You see him, lying in the blood stained snow and you think

What have you done to lose everyone and everything you hold dear?

Have you not been kind and honest?

Have you not been strong when times are hard?

Has life been fair since that day when your life went up in flames?

With your home

With your parents

With every memory that comforted you in times of hardship

In the darkness you now see... you're alone

He's not there to protect you anymore

His wisdom has died with him

And all you have left are memories

Memories that make you want to cry

But no matter how hard you try, the tears won't come

And you feel selfish because when you finally break down

It's not just for your brother

Not just for your parents

Not just for the quagmires who now have once again become the two quagmire triplets

Not just for your sister who no longer can look up to her brother

Not for the final Snicket sibling

Not for these many deaths

But for yourself

How you have bared this burden for so long

And you promise now, over the middle Baudelaire's bleeding body

You will bring justice

You will avenge him, Quigley, Kit, Jacques, your parents, and all of the other deaths

Count Olaf, you will pay!
